The National RAID Network was launched in December 2014 by Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The vision was to create a platform for staff working in RAID (Rapid Assessment Interface and Discharge) and other liaison mental health services to:
- Share best practice, ideas, experiences and resource materials
- Identify common challenges and work together to find solutions
- Strengthen links between liaison mental health services to facilitate collaborative working on research and innovation projects
Whilst recognising that acute liaison mental health models may differ between NHS trusts in response to local needs, the network aims for services to work together so that we are consistently at the forefront, setting the standard for innovative, high quality services both nationally as well as within our own trusts.
